Hrolf was raised on Karin in the Five Sisters subsector.  He was born to a group of settlers that had come from the Swords Worlds several centuries earlier.  Fully integrated into Imperial culture he is tall, burly and blond in the stereotypical Sword Worlds look.  With a bit of his ancestor's wanderlust he joined the navy directly out of secondary school and rapidly qualified for a pilot's slot.  Moving up in the ranks despite an early crash he has been sent to his latest posting on the strength of a recommendation from his CO.
