Mirtu, the hunter

Mirtu, the hunter

Clan: Gangrel
Nature: Defender
Demeanor: Fanatic

Mitru is a bestial figure, with luminous eyes and a gruff voice. His Gangrel features include furlike matted hair and slightly pointed ears. With the protean discipline, he can transform into a ferocious aspect, but even in his natural state, his hands resemble sharp-clawed, bearlike paws, and his mouth protrudes with large fangs. He dresses as an unkempt woodsman, with tattered and worn clothes. His needs are simple, and his logic is straightforward. His thick boots carry earth from lands throughout the woods of Transylvania.

Mitru began his unlife as an arrogant and overconfident “defender of the innocent.” He once believed that the only weapons he needed to defend the village where he was born were his bow and a few hand-crafted arrows. Even now, he trusts his instincts as a hunter more than his slowly developing skill at politics. Rage has won over reason. Mitru was chosen for the Embrace because of his fierce hatred for the overlords of Southern Transylvania. Through his early life, his family struggled, and the taxes imposed by the overlords of Nova Arpad eventually drove them into poverty. As Vlach serfs, two-thirds of the goods they produced were sent to the estate of the Szekler overlord. After being embraced, Mirtu migrated to the Transylvanian basin and allied with Marelle, the Tzimisce voivode of Zalãu. Marelle helped the Gangrel to keep the Arpad Ventrue far from the basin. With time, he moved away from Marielle and gained an alliance with Count Radu, who became his mentor. Conte Radu granted Mirtu the city of Klausenburg, which borders the woods where his clan hunts. As prince of Klausenburg, Mitru constantly guards his domain from the Ventrue penetration. Mirtu and his coterie hunt in the woods outside the city, and occasionally, they find a mortal who seems worthy of becoming a ghoul.
