Gabor is a strong man with straight and short brown hair and huge mustaches placed over his protruding chin. His cheekbones are large and impressive, and a threatening eyelook dominates his face. His chest is protected by a heavy chainmail. He wears a long coat of brown fur and a leather belt to carry his sword.
Gabor was born into serfdom near Balgrad in the Year of Our Lord, 1106. Several generations earlier his family had been of noble blood, but they were disinherited after refusing to convert to the Latin Church. For having the courage of their convictions to the Orthodox faith they, like many of their counterparts throughout Transylvania, found themselves bound to working the same land that had been theirs for tens of generations. His father bore the indignity of his reduced station with a mixture of resignation and pride while his mother died young, the victim of a wasting disease. Gabor grew as a rebellious streak and struck out on his own as a youth, earning his freedom by surviving in Balgrad for a year and a day. Between back-breaking work in the fields, mucking out the stables and feeding the pigs, Gabor’s father strove to give his son an education. As an adult, Gabor maturated a strong feeling against social injustice, and lived dreaming to overthrow the Hungarian domination in his land. He was eventually elected for the Embrace, deserving a place of honor among the Transylvanian Brujah rebels.
Gabor is an idealist and sees the end of the Hungarian domination and the birth of a Vlach republic, as the main goals of the Brujah Transylvania. Under his lead, the clan fights for establishing this new order at some point in the future. In his view, such a purpose can be achieved if the Brujah also repudiate hierarchical organization and evolve to a freer society.
