Shahid Abdul grew up in the sewers beneath the seedy back streets of Marseille, his whole life being overshadowed by the smoke and fumes of the factories, his food being both that which was discarded even by the emaciated souls who tended the Machines and the creatures that lived among that filth.

Among the human debris of Society, Shahid found comfort from the stories they would tell one another and from the cosy fellow feeling they shared even when they treated one another with cruelty.  He remembers that some of them were once a part of society and that they have lost part of what they were, being cast down with Shahid in the Abyss.

He wants justice for all and will fight to the death to get justice from the community around of him, a community for whom justice, and beyond that, citizenship has been for generations denied.
