Atraxus was born an orphan. Rather than live in the cities where people might judge him by his heritage, he taught himself to live in the wilds. He made a living serving as a wilderness tracker and guide for travelers, using it also as a way to develop a good reputation. After arriving at the endpoint of one of his expeditions, he saw the advertisement for people to help tame the Southlands and decided to set forth into the new land.
