Nadira

Name: Nadira
Age: 24
Eye Color: Emerald Green
Hair: White, trimmed short in a pageboy haircut
Skin Color:  Almond
Height: 5'11”
Notable Features: Nadira has a scar that goes across her right cheek from a combat injury during her time in the Schola Progenium.

Nadira was born on the Hive World of Necromunda in Segmentum Solar as part of a mining community under the Necromunda Gang of House Orlock.  Her parents were conscripted into the Astra Militarum shortly before she had become 4 years of age, and House Orlock took her in to be raised as a Ganger.  The Hive World Native only had her mother's necklace that had the symbol of the Imperial Creed as a memento of her parents when they had left.  During her time working with House Orlock Nadira had become quite a scrapper in her younger days of childhood, learning the ways of survival in the kill or be killed world she lived in.  Eventually she earned a spot as a leader of a small group of Gangers when she was 14 years of age and started to gain quite an ego.  Yet no matter how big she thought she was, she always thought of her parents and never took off the necklace that was around her neck.  Always looking into it and reminded of her mother and father.

That ego came crashing down when the unexpected had occurred.  A Canoness of the Sisters of Battle Order of the Argent Shroud came to Hive World, and in particular the Hive City Nadira was in.  The Canoness barely said a word to anyone and only gave small nods or whispers to her entourage that came with her.  The Canoness seemed focused on a singular objective and one day left to the Underhive alone.  While walking down one of the abandoned alleyways, Nadira and her small crew noticed the Canoness walking alone.  Seeing it as an opportunity they attempted to jump the Canoness as an easy way to gain some street cred...Which ended in absolute failure as the Canoness swiftly dispatched everyone that assaulted, saving Nadira for last.

Beat down and pushed on her back against the floor, an armoured boot pressed against her chest and a bolt pistol was aimed at her head.  Nadira spat at the Canoness and the Canoness was about to pull the trigger but noticed the necklace and the symbol of the Imperial Creed around her neck.  The Canoness spoke to Nadira.

"Where did you get this," the Sister said to Nadira

"It was from my mother, she wanted me to keep it to remember them," Nadira said to the Canoness.

The Canoness did not say a word after that and grabbed Nadira to be taken back to where the other Battle Sisters were at.  Being detained for what seemed forever, the Canoness returned and spoke to her once more.

"Your parents are dead little one, and in spite of you attacking me I see you possess a mustard seed of faith by carrying that symbol around your neck.  In spite of your older age, you have enough fire, skill, and gumption to be deemed worthwhile to send you to the Schola Progenium.  If that mustard seed of faith somehow grows into something greater and you survive, we may meet again little one."

With that the Canoness and her entourage left Nadira to be taken in the hands of the caretakers that would take her to the nearest Schola Progenium.

Nadira's time in the Schola Progenium made her life in the Underhive a fantasy.  It was brutal, it was unforgiving, but in spite of all of that and her older age, she had thrived in it and strove to go through it.  What made her survive more than anything was that so-called 'mustard seed' of faith she possessed.  She learned just what exactly that symbol she had carried as a child actually meant and why her parents gave it to her.  It was a symbol of faith in the Emperor and how that faith is reciprocated in his blessings to his followers.  She learned a great deal of the Imperial Creed and it's teachings and had become quite the studious learner in its teachings.

The time came when Nadira was nearly ready to graduate from the Progenium when the same Canoness finally returned and saw that this dirty scrapper of a Ganger had become a warrior of the faith.  The Canoness waited for Nadira to finish her teachings in the Progenium and then took her in.

She revealed her name to Nadira as Camilla and explained more about the Order she served, the Order of the Argent Shroud, before taking her to one of their Convents to complete her training to become a Sister of Battle.

After finally receiving her full rites as a Battle Sister and undergoing several missions as a Battle Sister, Canoness Camilla gathered those that served under her and announced that they have been assigned to join an exploratory fleet under the orders of the Canoness Superior of the Order of the Argent Shroud through the direct orders of the Abbess Sanctorum of the Adepta Sororitas who received her orders directly from the Imperial Regent himself.

Camilla chose Nadira and several other Sisters to personally accompany her on the Dominica's Blade where they would rendezvous with the rest of the fleet.  Nadira, to her surprise was chosen to act as Camilla's envoy for the assignment whenever Camilla herself could not speak for the Sororitas detachment of this fleet.
