Lieutenant Saroh appears to be a slightly gaunt, gangly human of slightly above average height in his late twenties or early thirties, with large dark eyes and collar length black hair.

Casual enquiries amongst the engineering crew of Starbase 66 reveal he was probably there when the station was first comissioned, and he has haunted the engineering decks every since being largely left alone because he's the only one who knows how some of the ancient computers actually work. Rumor has it he had a lair in the maintenance ducts and slept hanging upside down. The one about pointy teeth is almost definately false, but nobody can remember seeing him smile. Or eat.
He is a recent and somewhat reluctant transferree to the USS Kittyhawk, having finally been lured off station and had the doors and access codes changed behind him by a wily senior engineer who is confident he won't have to buy his own drinks at the bar for a few weeks.

It's not that Saroh's a bad engineer; if you can ever find him and point him at a problem involving something that was declared obsolete when your grandparents were learning to walk, he usually gets it fixed. It's just all the strange behaviour and odd mannerisms you have to put up with when hes around.
