The local bad boy and confirmed bachelor, Halbert knows every story, every dirty joke, every ribald song and every way to empty someone's purse. He is aging now, in his mid thirties, long hair slicked back in a sloppy tail while his neatly trimmed beard is carefully dyed to hide the encroaching gray. He has slept with half the young widows in the area while the other half are not worth his sexual advances, he is very kind towards them, generous with his coin and time.
