MOMENT OF TRUTH
Everything you do could affect the future. For all you know, saving that one guy means that now the future is full of pterodactyls. The ripples are always so hard to track, and you're not sure if you've helped or hurt-not really. Until now. In this moment, it's all clear. You can see the course of events laid out before you like a river, and you know exactly what you have to do to ensure the future outcome you want. Of course, after this, you've changed enough of the timeline to invalidate your prior research-reset all the names in your 'Connecting the dots' section.

TEAM MOVES
When you confess to a teammate the difference between what you thought they would be and what they really are, add a Team to the pool, and ask them if you represent a future they'd want. If they say yes, mark potential. If they say no, mark a condition.

When you share a tale of future loss with someone, ask them if they think you have the ability to avert that loss. If they believe you do, mark potential and give them Influence over you. If they don't, mark Guilty and shift one Label up and one Label down (your choice). If Guilty is already marked mark another condition, GM's choice.

HARBINGER NAME: Traveler
REAL NAME: Aaron Eagleheart
AGE: 18

APPEARANCE: He's got dredded red tipped hair but dark black hair and dark brown skin color from his mixed ethnicity and probably from being sun baked in the wasteland. His physique is wiry and taut on a medium height body frame, he's still young but looks ages more mature due to his experiences. When he uses his cybernetic implants, his left replacement eye glows when he taps it's power. On close inspection one would notice the node on the side of his head with three red LEDs on it, it's the only part of his cybernetics immediately visible other than his glowing eye.

SUIT: His costume is sleek black and body hugging but looks well used with nicks and scratches all over it. He's got buckles and belts that create the look of a harness on his body.

AARON'S BACKSTORY
  • How did you travel from the future to the present day? The Chronotransmat is one of my implanted devices which allow me to jump across time periods, it was created by a member of the Mask Underground of my time, I can't remember who it is yet...
  • What keeps you from returning to the future? There are burnt out components of the Chronotransmat that I do not currently have the ability to create, and I don't think my job is done here yet...
  • Why are your memories and knowledge of the future scrambled? The 'Mat is closer to an art than a science, and though most of me suffered no 'transmission errors', there is the possibility that this is what happens to the human psyche when one uses the 'Mat.
  • What is the most important part of your future that you want to avert? The destruction of the Mask Underground and if possible, alter the course of the man responsible for my terrifying future, Mustang Jack.
  • Why must you join this team specifically to achieve your mission's goals? The team is pivotal to future events that will play out across the world and directly with the Mask Underground and Mustang Jack. Either through some mishap or victory, they changed everything...
