Rane Graves

Name: Rane Graves

Age: 24

Sex: female

Species: human

Appearance: Short brown, pixie cut hair frames a round face with large deep blue eyes lead to a slender, long neck. Rane stands all of 5’4” with a petite body. She has mostly…forgettable features, which works for her, as she spends most of her time as a wallflower. Rane speaks with a soft voice and unassuming body language causing many to assume she’s shy.

Strengths: Rane is an artist, focusing mostly on landscapes. Her quiet nature makes her an excellent listener. She takes her time forming an opinion, making her rather accepting of many things.

Weaknesses: Rane is quiet, making her easily overlooked. Often, people don’t even realize she is there, not because she tries to remain hidden, but rather she simply prefers spending time alone.

Personality: Rane is an introvert that loves art and color. She is often found on her own sketching the skyline or a particularly interesting hill in the distance rather than spending time with friends and people. She often comes across as shy, given her quiet nature, but really, she is able to make friends easily, it just takes her some time to decide someone is worth it. She views the world as a series of images rather than experiences, making her focus vastly different than most people.

History: Rane spent most of her life in the same small town, making her a bit stir crazy once she became an adult. She spent time in an art school where she vastly improved her already accomplished talent. Life seemed great, but…Rane wanted more. She gained a job selling her art to travel magazines and other nature-based prints, allowing her the time and money to travel in order to experience and paint more places.

About a month ago, Rane was sent to Newcastle to capture it as an up-and-coming tourist attraction. She hadn’t heard of the Island until the magazine requested it, but that only made her want to visit more. She has only been on the Island a little over two weeks, just long enough to get settled and really get a feel for the Island. She would have been there sooner, but her boat was caught in a storm that blew them off course, leaving her wary and unwilling to step foot on another boat.
