A former Jedi in his younger years, Demarchus is a charming old man. Having left the order near the onset of the Clone Wars, he narrowly missed the purge of Order 66. His survival predicated on a false identity and laying low, quietly raging as he watched the galaxy descend into despotism and evil. He remained distant and under his false persona even into the New Republic. It was only after the fall of Luke's temple of new Jedi knights and the rise of the First Order that he finally rose up to fight and help.

He was working with someone to try once again to recreate the Jedi Order, moving children who are force sensitive to a location to be trained. Who he was working with, and why now, are still open mysteries. He's reluctant to share information, and behind his public persona of a friendly diplomat there lays decades of guilt, remorse, and anger.
