Valborga

Taller than most human women, Val's imposing silhouette embodies the sleek, chiseled strength that forms the core of both her physical and moral philosophy. Jet black hair frames the sides of her oval face as it falls in loose ringlets to her shoulders, and the gaze of her narrowed green eyes roam the space around her like those of a lioness seeking her next meal. Her nose is thin and sharp, like a rock cleft from a solid block of granite, and it perches imperiously over lips that have been pressed thin by years of suppressed emotion.

She wears the accoutrements of a warrior -- a battered breastplate worn over leather backing. The blood-red traveling cloak she wears does little to hide the huge sword (almost as long as she is tall) that hangs from a back harness; the sword bears no decoration beyond an extremely sharp edge and Dwarven script running neatly down the center-line of the blade. Beneath the harness is a well-made backpack that's obviously been stuffed to the seams; however, by design it does not excessively hinder Val's movements. A torch has been lashed to the top with leather straps so that its burning head protrudes slightly over her right shoulder, immediately opposite the long, wrapped handle of her blade. A utilitarian ring belt hides the top of her leather breeches, and from it hang two rather ordinary pouches; on her left calf, where the breeches disappear into her sturdy boots, she's carefully strapped a sheathed dagger. Her left hand wears a deerskin leather glove but her right hand is bare, and the skin of the back of that hand bears a birthmark that perfectly forms the appearance of the holy symbol of Gagiel.
