A son of a weaver of straw mats and shoes. Dursturm Ironguard had a vision of wanting to be a lord since he was young. As a child, he played with his friends and always took on the role of a king. Seeing potential in him, a wealthy relative sent him to learn from an elderly swordsman who was reputed to be a man of pen and sword. He learnt to combine sword and sorcery to overcome foes. While learning from his mentor, he also picked up the art of juggling and also body conditioning, which made him strong and nimble.

Tall and lean, Dursturm is pretty quick on his feet and is usually dressed in his suit of maille which was a gift from his mentor. To minimise his chances of being burnt at the stake, he learnt to mumble power words with wave of his hands to pretend to be gesturing and cursing while fighting.

His clean good looks usually allows him to make friends with ladies.
