Born in the year of our Lord, one thousand six hundred and three, in the port city of Le Harve. He was blessed to be born into a Bourgoise family of successful merchants.

  He was born second son, out of three children. The youngest a sister.  His elder would inherit  the business  of his father. As second son. It was decided  to educate Alexandre and groomed  for government service.

 His father had a childhood friend that had taken to royal service as a man. The tw friends  had remained close. Over the years, and it was to that friend Young Alexandre was to seek audience in Paris
