Tall and lean with corded muscle, long hair turned to silver before their time, and piercing eyes, Malakus presents an imposing and authoritative figure. Dressed in hooded robes of muted scarlet, with a worn sling-bag slung across his sinewy shoulder, he carries a well crafted quarterstaff with runes engraved upon the wood and a crystal the color of blood & fire attached on top.

When Magnus speaks his voice is low yet strong with a force of personality and belief, and also cultured, betraying a good education and higher learning. He appears wiser beyond his years, though his face sometimes betrays a shadow of haunting, of one who has seen things most should not and yet remain sane.
