After all, what’s the worst that could happen? Is it worse than your doom? Do impossible things. Do anything. But mark a doomsign after you’re finished.
Team MovesWhen you share a triumphant celebration with someone, give them Influence over you and spend 1 Team from the pool to clear one box on your doom track. When you share a vulnerability or weakness with someone, give them Influence over you and ask if they honestly think there’s hope for you. If they say yes, mark potential or clear one box of your doom track. If they say no, mark a condition or mark your doom track.

Doom: Cassandra is Doomed.  Millennia ago a dark power, The Grim Duke, sought to bind it's essence to soul of this world to prevent it's banishment.  The fiend was foiled but not defeated.  Too powerful for the heroes of old to cast back into the nether, a sorceress instead corrupted the Duke's ritual, trapping his essence within an endlessly renewing prison.  The Doomed is that prison.  A construct created by the magic, the Doomed's signs are a manifestation of Grim Duke's attempts to claw it's way out.  And he always does.  Eventually every prison will break, and this one is no exception.  When it does the Doomed current construct shall be destroyed, sacrificed to be consumed in the fires of the magic's renewal.  Another construct will be born, live and die, serving as jailer to the Grim Duke until their time comes.  Cassandra's Doom is brought closer by overexerting herself and injuring the innocent.
Nemesis: The Grim Duke is Cassandra's nemesis.  While imprisoned for ages he still has servitors in this world who seek to usher in his freedom.  Cultists, opportunist, and outright lunatics.  The most dangerous are his Avatara, shards of the Duke's essence that splintered off during his imprisonment that still exist, dormant or otherwise in this world.  At the end of every session, answer the question: Did you make progress on defeating your nemesis? If the answer is yes, mark potential. If the answer is no, mark your doom track.
Sanctuary: Thanks to previous incarnations of the construct Cassandra has access to a hidden arcane sanctum.   It exists within it's own pocket dimension which makes it difficult to access.  It houses a library of valuable tomes and a scattering of ancient relics which tends to draw dangerous attention.  The most important aspect however is Aiden, her aide and counsellor.  Aiden isn't real, even less so than Cassandra.  He is an illusion, a magical repository of knowledge created by a previous incarnation to guide future generations of the Doomed.

Backstory
When did you first learn of your doom?I used to have terrible nightmares as a child.  Standing in front of this massive Iron Door and hearing something behind it.  Scratching, clawing, heaving itself at it and all I could do was throw myself against it.  My parents thought I needed a shrink.  Then I started developing powers.  And then... then the Shadowman came after me.
Where did you get your sanctuary? The Shadowman came for me.  That's just what I call him.  I didn't know what he was.  At first I thought it was some perv just following me.  But he wasn't just some perv, I'm not even sure he was ever really human.  The way he could slink and melt across walls, or step out of darkened nooks.  I don't know how it happened but I was terrified and desperate and suddenly I just knew where to go, how to get there.  Except it made me feel sick, the knowing, like I had run my hand over scummy water to pluck that tidbit out.  Still, I got away so a win is a win, I guess.
Why do you oppose your nemesis?I don't have a choice.  Aiden explained it to me.  I'm not... well I'm not actually real according to him.  I'm just a product of the magic, a 'Construct' he called it.  And having a magical illusion tell you that you aren't real is a hell of a kick in the chest.  But the way I figure it, I get to be real the longer he stays in his box.  So if he wants my life, or whatever this is, he better try a lot harder to get it.
Who, outside of the team, is crucial to defeating your nemesis?Aiden, though I know he holds out on me; which is weird for a magical database right?  Maybe I'm not always asking the right questions, but sometimes it feels like there's gated content in there I'm not being given access to.  Or maybe I just don't know how to.  Still I wouldn't know 1/100th of what I know now without him, and I don't really know where else to ask.
Why does the team matter to you?Because they are good people who deserve to have a life, love, and all that other crap.  If Aiden is right, and I don't ever get to have all that, at last I can go out in a blaze of glory making sure they do.
