Miss Cavaco, even in death, has enough color in her skin to suggest that her Portuguese surname is not a coincidence, though her accent is all English. When she's still and silent and the lights are low, it's easy to forget she's a Haunt. It's when the lights are brighter and the shadows starker that it becomes clear that her own shadow ripples as if on the surface of a pond, and her voice seems to come from underwater. There's something vaguely piscine about her eyes; though some have described them as "the kind you fall into," they shudder when they say it.
