One looks at Job Miles and gets the strong impression of ‘hunter’, but whether he is a hunter of beasts, a hunter of men or a hunter of monsters is difficult to say.  Is he a beast, a man or a monster?  Again, difficult to say.  Perhaps some of all three in both cases.  Does he respect the law he serves, or does he use it for his own ends?  Probably both.  Is he like a dog who singlemindedly tracks his prey, or like a cat who stalks it, plays with it?  Probably both.
He does not consider himself a sadist although he does deliberately inflict pain.  He does not consider himself to be a masochist although he does seek out situations that he knows will cause him pain.
Is he dangerous?  He is not particularly strong, he is not very devious, and he is not very treacherous.  He is not old and powerful, and he knows not a single piece of rare arcana.  So, no, not dangerous.  Yet.
