No one knows they truth.

The one truth academics and mystics of a neutral bent know is this - Eslador has no other gods. Oh, plenty are worshipped - none grant power, their temples are political entities used for belief control.

The Lady has but one Temple and no formal clergy. Anyone may perform service there and act as intercessor, should they reside even temporarily within her domain.

But that, perhaps, are the key points - The City is her Domain. None may best her here, were even great Michael to leave the Lord's side, axe in hand, she would break him across her knee.

Second, she seeks useful people, and people with potential - why else tolerate such a vivacious slave trade, or such behaviour? Yes, it is cold to seek wheat from chaff so.

But the fate that awaits...

... well, it will not come in your lifetime, mortal. But she has a little more to worry about.
