Smyth

There used to be a man who lived nearby the Great Bazaar in Sigil that the locals called the Hunter’s Myth. The dark goes that he was clueless once, but the scary kind you have to watch out for. Didn’t take long before he called himself an Indep and started joining any portal-tripping group that would hire him to provide high-level security. Though, it was said he had no love of fiends, wouldn’t work with ‘em, and got in trouble with the Hardheads more than once for public disturbances related to battling nasty bloods out on the streets. Rumor was, the Harmonium’s Factotums were afraid of him, which they hotly denied.

Anyway, that guy doesn’t live in Sigil anymore. I think a Modron rents his flat now. He was off doing a whatever with some adventurers in Acheron and got stuck in the Patterned Web. When Wee Jas finally let him go, he’d become one of her priests and he packed his stuff up and moved to Oerth. Uhhh that’s what the Yuguloth who started that new roasted lizard cart told me last week, anyway. Yeah, they are surprisingly good, right?

With his fine elvencrafted hood down, Smyth is a relatively unremarkable human man with crows feet gathering at the edges of his calm green eyes. His skin is a smooth copper color, and his face bereft of any evidence of a beard. His hair was once jet black, but coarse gray has replaced most of it, especially evident on the sides which are reminiscent of a military cut, though the top is long enough to form dense silvery curls. They break like waves above a thin, dull gold headband when a small skull festoon, two brown red rubies set in its eye sockets.

Neither tall nor short, neither bulky nor slim, Smyth is almost always in full kit, ready for action at the drop of a hat. His voice has a crackly vocal fry and a measured, controlled cadence.
