Bitten by what he thought was a stray dog as a child. Connar found he had the ability to shift into dog-form at will. The species of dog he becomes is a ferral mix between a doberman and full-fledged wolf. He spent most of his young adult life in Ireland working behind bars and hiding his true nature. When a series of killings started to become attributed to the sighting of a large stray dog in the area, Connar fled by stowing away on a merchant ship (he was not responsible for the deaths). He landed on the shores of Midori where he came to Danketsu. There he  immediately ran into the Black Moon wolf pack. Dexter sensed Connar's ability to become a powerful Alpha but noted that he was only part Lycan. He asked Connar to join the gang but Connar refused. Dexter decided it would be better to kill him than risk having a lone wolf roaming the city and challenging his authority, even if this particular wolf was semi-domesticated.
