Jasmine was born in Amarillo Texas on 8/21/1974 the youngest of three children. Her father was a factory worker for Bell Textron. She was always very athletic and was a track all star in high school. She had an older brother, Charles, who went into the military when he turned 18 and a younger brother, Curtis, who went into the Navy. She on the other hand, found that she always loved working on engines, something not common for a young black woman in the South. She found that even though she was great at what she did, there were few opportunities for her there.

Looking for a way to do what she loved in 1994, she visited the local recruiter, and was soon sent to Fort Benning, where she found she was an excellent fit for the their Combat Support Services.

She met her fiancé, Santino Ramos, a few years later at an Army track event. They had set a date and were preparing for the wedding when she was called to duty in the growing situation in Europe. As things deteriorated in Poland, she found she had to stay closer to the enemy lines, and ended up supporting the US 5th ID in their push towards Central Poland. Her position was over run and she found herself fighting alongside a combat unit just to survive. She fought beside the Red Devils until it's destroyed.

Jasmine does not know the fate of her family or her fiancé.  She knows her fiancé was assigned to a force operating in the Middle East, her older brother Charles who had left the Army a few years before was later recalled and sent to bolster a unit back in the States. Her younger brother Curtis was in the Navy serving on a Frigate as a gun operator.

Jasmine wants to go home, and is worn out by the fighting. She struggles to stay positive, and does her best not to lose her humanity.
