Gorthok is a massive creature, six and a half feet of pure muscle, with grey skin and dark brown eyes. He is clearly of orcish descent, although his human heritage is quite evident, and the combination provides a rather exotically handsome appearance; some might say he was blessed by Shelyn. His long black hair is usually pulled back into many braids that settle onto his shoulders and back.

When adventuring and prepared for potential conflict he wears a suit of utilitarian half plate armor and always prominently displays a holy symbol of Shelyn; a multicolored songbird. His weapon of choice, not surprisingly, is a massive glaive. A rarely used longbow sticks out of a quiver holding arrows while a well-traveled backpack hangs from his back.

Gorthok's personality might be considered at odds with his appearance to those who meet him. He is calm, respectful, and shows kindness to all those he meets. He truly believes that the world would be a better place if everyone embraced the beauty of love and peace that Shelyn embodies. Like all of Shelyn's followers he promotes beauty in all of its forms, and recognizes that beauty comes in all shapes and sizes.

However, when confronted with irredeemable evil, the fury that is known from his race boils quickly to the surface. While he believes that all living beings have the potential for goodness and beauty, he recognizes that some are beyond his ability to redeem and when given no other choice he will do what is necessary.
