Hapless Derrick Goldbright, cultist, hedge wizard, avid collector of dried up sea invertebrates.  Cthulhu isn't real because the names and places have been changes to protect the innocent, also to hoarde the power for themselves and Derrick will find the power and the real names of the ancient evils.

Derrick tries to keep up his appearance usually as it helps him find information in his ever present search for knowledge about the truth.  When not looking for information, he lets his mop of brown hair relax a little and the stubble grow in some.  Usually he finds comfort in wearing his plain robes, cinched at the waist.  A sturdy pair of boots and knitted vest complete the ensemble.  He's tall and thin, and late in his twenties.  Having a pair of lyres on him (one smaller and one a little larger), he is usually ready to play a few tunes he's picked up over the years.
