Yes there are scars.  War's an ugly thing and so is Bella.  We all know that war's ugly while Bella's a scarred goblin with sharp teeth.  She stands nearly four feet tall.  Taller when she climbs a ladder to reach the books on the highest shelves.

Yes she's a goblin.  Yes she reads.  No it's weeks since she started any fires.

She wears studded leather and carries no obvious weapons save a couple of knives and a sling.  She carries a backpack and always at least two books.  Most of her scars look more like burn marks than cuts or abrasions.

Personality:

Bella is everything everyone expects a goblin to be... except that she isn't.  Not least, she loves to read.  However, she is as curious as any other goblin and as for starting fires, well there was that one incident but that was an accident.  She's ever so careful these days, honestly.

History:

Once upon a time, Bella was born into a tribe and a family but in truth, she doesn't remember much about it.  Her family, and indeed her tribe, died in th Goblin War, leaving her alone and alive.  She's alive because of her curiosity and because, her skills proved useful for so many people.  Of course, even when she tells people she can read, folks are simply not careful enough to give her the benefit of the doubt.  This is why she is something of an expert at finding secrets.
