Despite his rank of Colonel, no one refers to him as such. He is Carver, nothing else, and those who interact with him know this well. Carver is something of an enigma, but his actions with the Blackstar Initiative prove him to be bold and pragmatic. It's nearly impossible to read his emotions, especially as he trusts few and is known to compartmentalize even with those he does. The bearer of many classified stellar security issues, Carver has a cynical outlook. He finds that often times cutthroat actions and clandestine, even illegal operations, are necessary to protect the Republic, and there is nothing he loves more than the Republic. To him, even the loss of his eye was nothing more than "a small price to pay for putting boot to ass for my nation". His clothing is always his impeccable black uniform, often adding the full length over jacket regardless of the weather, never seeming to be discomforted by its weight.
