Eric Larson

THE BASICS

Name: Eric Larson

Nickname: "Swede", by some former co-workers

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

Gender: Male

Age: 32

Hair: Blond

Eyes: Blue

Distinguishing Marks: Notable Stature, Small Scar on Chin.

General Appearance: The thing most people first note about Eric is his size. At over six and a half feet, the man is normally something of a curiosity. With thick limbs, a barrel chest and broad shoulders he looks like a man who has done manual labor for most of his life.

He could have been called handsome once, but as it stands he is a little too weathered, leathery and rough to turn many heads. The fact that he dresses like a man down on his luck certainly doesn't help.

With shortish blond hair, clear blue eyes, and a cleft chin he looks capable, but not really dangerous despite his size. More wholesome than mean, he tends to regard the world with a sort of quiet contemplation.

HISTORY

Occupation: Hired Hand

Personality: Quiet, Serious

Sexual Preferences: Women

About Your character:

While most of the nation was heading West, Eric Larson was heading East.

His parents were young when they came to California in search of gold, themselves the children of Swedish immigrants, and they found to their dismay that they had arrived too late to stake a claim of any real value.

Poor and new to the region, they struggled, and young Eric struggled with them.

Like so many, he worked as soon as he was able to help support his parents, and took whatever honest work he could find. Over the years he has run sheep and cattle, worked as a farrier, broke horses, and hired out for hay and fence work.

The years and the long, hard days passed fast. He had been herding sheep in the Sierra Nevadas when a series of brutal winters and increasing support for conservation forced many out of business in the region.

Eric tried a late season crossing east, and nearly froze to death for his trouble. His horse having died, he drifted through aging silver boom towns, competing with out of work miners and war veterans flush with cash before he heard rumor that there was potentially work to be found in the newly settled town of Sweetwater.
