A man of average height with black hair. He has large dark eyes and a fair amount of stubble. Ethan is a handsome man but he seems nervous, quiet and smiles rarely.

Aloof, nervous, shifty even. He comes across a little shy but at the same time slightly paranoid. He is polite and courteous but always seems to be uneasy. Despite this he has an uncanny knack of reading people during conversation.

Ethan genuinely likes people but his talent makes it hard for him to connect to others. He is intensely aware of the fact that what people say and what they think are often not the same thing.

TWO C - FAMILY AND HISTORY

Born in Bristol as the only child of a doctor and a teacher. As a child he had an imaginary friend called Ruthie who was a girl the same age as him and who used to talk to him at night. He couldn't see her, only hear her. It wasn't until his tenth birthday that he realized that Ruthie was not imaginary and that she was actually a nineteenth century ghost that had died as a child of consumption. Shortly after that new 'imaginary' friends started making their voices know. To complicate matters, he started to hear the thoughts of living people as well. At first just his family and friends and then later everyone.

He was bullied at school and received counseling. He was diagnosed with schizophrenia at the age of 16 and this diagnosis hampered his chance of getting a job. At the time Ethan found that he had a natural talent for photography and was able to make a living taking photos at weddings and other occasions. He slowly learnt to ignore the voices he heard but couldn't blot them out entirely. He hid the talent so well that after a second bout of counseling he was considered miraculously cured. He was still diagnosed with mild social anxiety - but this was thought to be a by product of his recovery.

Ethan tried his hand at film making and produced some amateur videos on Youtube. He eventually landed a job as a cameraman on a new paranormal TV show.

Ethan is a telempath. He can read the intentions of others and hear their surface thoughts. He only needs to tune in when there are crowds of people because the thoughts are always entering his head. But worse than that he can also hear the voices of the dead. Often it is hard for him to tell which is a voice of a living person and which is the voice of a dead one.
