Travis is a retired Navy CPO and Engineer originally from Durendal, although his family name suggests his family origins were not in the initial colonization. Pushing 50, he has gray streaked hair and full beard and a bit of a pot belly.

He dresses in navy casual uniforms with numerous mission patches but without rank insignia or awards. He does have both a civilian style suit and a full dress suit for special occasions, and he is familiar with high society manners and diplomacy even though he prefers working with his hands to hobnobbing with elites.

He's not physically imposing but he is quick witted, and has a bit of social capital. His name is known, for better or worse, in Navy circles.

He usually aboard The Stygg, his 50 ton salvage boat, when not on duty.
