Standing at 5'4", Barbara Gordon is a bundle of energy, wanting to do everything and learn everything else.  She had the body of an Olympic level athlete, and the mind of a Nobel prize winning scientist.  Blessed and cursed with an incurable curiosity and a need to know everything.
Though usually dressed in a non descript hoodie and sweats, Barbara has also been developing a "super suit" to help protect her in her quest to be a force for good in the world, along with dozens of gadgets and gizmos for almost any occasion.


The daughter of Gotham City Police Commissioner James Gordon, young Barbara Gordon grew up in a world of gritty crime, colorful heroes, dastardly villains, and dedicated law enforcement.   Rather than being discouraged or intimidated like many people, she was dedicated to compete with the heroes and villains of her world and determined, as an 'ordinary person' to make a difference in her crime and strife filled world.
To this end, she dedicated herself to physical and mental perfection, becoming both an accomplished martial artist and gymnast, as well as a superlative scientist, investigator, and computer hacker.   She managed to enroll herself in the Metropolis school for superheroes known only as Super Hero High.  It was an experimental school, run by Principal Amanda Waller, created to allow super powered or otherwise extraordinary individuals to, in theory safely, achieve their full potential.   It was a school filled with super powered meta-humans, inscrutable aliens princesses, and magical monsters.
And now, Barbara Gordon, amateur detective and superhero wannabe.
Managing to fake documents to her father that convinced him that she had been given a scholarship to Metropolis Institute of Science, located a few blocks away from the secret(ish) superhero school, Barbara Gordon gave her father and younger brother (James Gordon, Jr) a tearful goodbye and left for Metropolis.

Little did she know how strange her journey would be.
