Always seen wearing one of his many derby hats.  Most often Zak is dressed in black everyday slacks with a matching vest and a white long sleeve shirt.  The clothing line is not of high cost but he does wear them well.
Zak appears to be in good shape but does not sport an athletic body. His mind tends to be a little quicker and sharper than his body is. He often has a expression that he knows something more than he is sharing.

"The Beast"  (a cross between Tim Curry's character Darkness and Hellboy)
Zak has an psychological illusionary alter ego that he refers to has "The Beast".  When Zak looses control "The Beast" comes out.  "The Beast" stands 7' tall with jet black horns that reach another 2' into the sky.  His body turns red and his muscles triple in size.  His speech becomes muffled by his large fangs that protrude from his mouth.
When "The Beast" takes over things become unpredictable, chaotic and physically destructive.  He will attack anyone and/or any thing that might pose a thread in the slightest way.
