Mason Justice is the great-great-grandson of the World War 2 hero James Justice, the American Aegis. Given an experimental supersoldier serum, Aegis would go on to fight beside Legacy and Bunker against the Nazis and their advanced technology special forces throughout the war. The serum fundamentally altered James’ DNA and parts of his superhuman attributes were passed down but never fully emerged, until Mason.

Mason attended public school until his powers manifested, then he spent two years at a private military academy until his parents were notified of the new superhuman school and they enrolled him in the program.

Mason has enhanced strength, durability (though gunfire can still harm him), speed, and reflexes. He augments this capability with a family heirloom- the Aegis Shield, built from alien metals recovered from a crashed ship in the 1930s.
