Solara is a poor example of a heroic knight--and that is perhaps a fair statement to make, as while her blood is as noble as any other, the simple fact of the matter is that no respectable order is quite willing to break with tradition so as to recruit a woman--no matter how apparently blessed their physique might be.

There is a certain logic to it--many battles can be avoided with a stern expression and an intimidating form, and Solara is far from possessing any of these.  Fair skin, soft features, and black hair with the vitality expected of any lady who spends much of her time grooming herself clashes with her battle panoply--a boiled leather chestpiece, dyed white with a layer of mail sown within, matched with a plain white cloak, bearing a mail-lined cowl to provide some extra protection and cushioning for when she adds a helmet to the ensemble.

In a sense, it looks as though she is some well kept younger princess who is playing at war, who would ever think such a figure to be a seasoned fighter in her own right?
