Elinor Myrth

Name: Elinor Myrth

Age: 18

Character Description: Slender and petite standing a mere 5'3 and weighing 116 lbs. She has softly wavy black hair and soft baby blue eyes. Due to her low station in life her style of dress is that of a simple maid/servant. She also almost always has her hair pinned up in a low and slightly messy bun. In fact the only time it's not pinned back is when she's not working or sleeping.

Skills/Accomplishments: Elinor despite being a simple maid is actually quite intelligent and articulate. She is also a fast learner and picks things up quite quickly. She is also a very good cook and is good at both working and handling animals, horses mainly though.

Background: Elinor has had a tough life growing up. She is a child that was born out of wedlock. Her mother was a maid working for a young lord and his family on their grand estate. The young lord fell in love with her mother and her mother with him, but due to the fact that they were from such vastly differing societal circles their love for one another could and would never be acknowledged by the young lord's family.

In fact when they accidentally found out about their secret love affair they sent her mother far away from her father. What the young lord and his family didn't know though was that her mother was already pregnant with her at time. Even so her mother never made any attempt to get back in contact with her lost love to let him know he had a daughter. After all she knew in the end it wouldn't do any good and would only cause him further trouble with his family which was not something wished to do.

As the years passed and Elinor got older, she was always told by her mother that she had her father's very distinctively beautiful blue eyes. Even though she was smiling when she used to tell her this, there was an unspeakable sadness in her eyes. She tried many a time to get her mother to tell her who her father was but she never did so. Even when she lay dying from an incurable sickness she kept his name from her to the very end.

After her mother passed when she was ten, Elinor took on her mother's duties as a maid working for another well to do family and well she's been working for said family ever since.

Writing Sample (3 paragraphs):

Despite not feeling very well that day, Elinor still dragged herself out of bed that day. She had a lot of work to do that day and knew she couldn't afford to lay in bed all day trying to nurse herself back into good health. Besides she didn't think it fair to push all her chores and duties onto some of the other servants working in the estate. It wasn't there fault she had gotten sick after all. So after washing her face and getting dressed, Elinor headed out of her room the out the back door to gather some firewood to add to the fireplace in the front parlor.

Upon gathering as much as she could carry, Elinor headed back inside with the chopped wood. Upon making her way through the house with the logs, she entered into the empty parlor room and carried all the logs over to the waiting fireplace. Once there, she knelt down and began to set the logs up in a nice neat pile in the fireplace. She knew she didn't have to do so but always liked to go that extra mile to please the lord and lady of the manor. They treated her well enough after all so going that little extra mile to please them was the least she could do she felt.

Once she finished stocking the fireplace, she stood up and made her way out of the room. In doing so she headed outside to dust herself off. She didn't want to do it in the house for fear of getting dust and dirt everywhere, something she was sure would frowned upon. As she dusted herself off though she took a moment to breathe in the fresh morning air. With all the flowers in bloom and such, the air smelt soft and fragrant. It was nice.

Are you willing to take on another character which needs a player, in addition to your submission, as an NPC: I might be persuaded depending what kind of character someone needs played.
