Tybald Goldthistle stands at six feet and one inch tall, but appears taller thanks to the thick red horsehair plumb that sprouts from the top of his helm and streams out behind him. From his solid steel helm pierced only by a thin vision slit and several small breaths, down to his chain armored gauntlets and booted leggings he is entirely encased in armor. The steel of his chainmail armor has been coated in brass to give it a golden hue.

About his shoulders a dark red traveling cloak is pinned in place by a stout bronze brooch. The disk of the brooch depicts a golden thistle branch wrapped around a vertical sword with a Knight's helm adorning the hilt. This sigil is repeated in yellow upon the upper left portion of the burgundy and black quartered surcoat which protects his armor from the heat of the sun.

About his waste is fitted a sturdy double wrapped leather swordbelt with brass buckles. The sword that hangs from his belt is a sturdy blade with a brass hilt. The pommel of the hilt also bears the same sigil as his surcoat. A sturdy warhammer hangs next to the sword. It is a heavy weapon which would serve equally well as a tool. Tybald's sigil is engraved upon both sides of the warhammer's head. His right hip supports the weight of a leather holster containing a long handled horseman's pistol with a wheel-lock firing mechanism.

Around his left shoulder a leather loop connects to a wooden shield with a leather facing. The leather has been painted in a quartered pattern of burgundy and black with his sigil in the center.

A second strap over his left shoulder supports the weight of a traveling pack made of thick waxed leather. Its contents make little sound as he moves. In this way, the traveling pack is like Tybald himself. For he doesn't seem to speak much, if at all, and moves towards his destination with a single-minded purpose.
