Kelemen is a big, muscular man with swarthy skin and dark hair that he keeps short, if unevenly cut. He is an impressive figure, if not a huge one, with a number of well-healed scars on his body, including a few visible on his face.
He is armed as a soldier, though he no longer wears the marking tabard of any army or unit, instead preferring simple, undecorated attire.


Background:

Kelemen Ronol grew up in Hungary, raised by priests and the Church.  He was a questioning child, often having trouble understanding explanations, but eager to please the priests and God with his devotion.  When he heard stories of the Crusades, he found a sense of justice in their pursuit, seeking to correct the wrongs of the Islamic world against devout Christians.
He joined the Fifth Crusade.

Kelemen, a soldier with some education from the Church, found out that war is actually a very messy Hell. He found no joy in fighting the Muslims. He could sense no evil in them. When he finally ran into a real evil, a Demon that was causing chaos, and he found he could sense the deep corruption of it, he realized that the Islamic people despite being his enemies, were not the font of evil he had been taught.  Despairing of having killed good men, he ran away from the war.

Away from the war, he did find some evil men, those in banditry or making deals with infernal jinn, but he had vowed to himself and to god never to slay another human life.  Something may have heard his vows, because he has felt a guiding influence in his travels, cast adrift from his bloody faith-war and seeking to find a way to make amends.
