Javan is an incredibly tall man seemingly just entering middle age. He keeps his head clean shaven and his beard neatly trimmed. He wears ornate robes indicating a man of some wealth. While partially concealed by his robe, the scar on his neck is easy to spot as he doesn't go out of his way to hide it. Somehow he survived having his throat cut.

While he is mute, it is obvious he has learned to communicate with his companion, Sirena, who acts as his translator. He prefers to communicate by writing and is quite skilled at doing so. He usually has a slate and chalks to use for brief discussions with those who are literate in one of his many languages.
