The Anvil is an enormously muscular man.  Scars crisscross his whole body -- many of which are shown by the muscle T shirts that he almost always wears.  Despite the amount of scars there are relatively few on his face or neck that are not covered with his thick curly hair and beard.
He is pale to the point of frequently sun-burned with borderline blonde-brunette hair.
His face is generally screwed up into a frustrated frown.
He generally smells strongly of pepper and earthy almost musty cologne.
