Ilyana Warrick is tall and dark-haired, not particularly strong or tough, but wiry and full of restless energy. Her blue eyes tend to flick impatiently from one thing to the next, and her facial expression can change like quicksilver, although a broad grin is the most common (and dangerous) one she wears. She has a narrow, sharp-featured face with a straight nose, dark eyebrows, and two small scars on her chin and right cheek.

Ilyana is the youngest child of Sir Aektor Warrick, lord of Brookhaven and the surrounding farmlands, and she's generally regarded as the black sheep of the family. It's an open secret that she has a strained relationship with her parents, and much of what she does seems to be an attempt to rebel against them. She's rarely seen at the Warricks' manor house any more, preferring to spend most of her time in the village or roaming the countryside. She usually wears simple, well-worn clothes in some combination of black and dark brown, blue, or green, often looking more like a thief or vagabond than an aspiring noble lady. She's irreverent and sarcastic, loves to compete in footraces and acrobatic challenges, and spends most of her evenings drinking and gambling at the village tavern.

Despite all that, however, Ilyana's upbringing still shows through in various ways. She speaks with the clipped, high-born accent that the Warricks' personal tutor instilled in her, and when she acts, it's often with the unconscious assumption that others will follow. She can also be more than a little self-involved, and despite her belief that she's on the side of "the common people", she has no real idea of what it means to be poor. Nevertheless, her willingness to fight for those in need is genuine, as is her hatred of injustice, corruption, and greed. She's also always loyal to and protective of her friends, and whatever problems she has with her parents don't seem to extend to her siblings -- Ilyana likes to tease them, particularly Edmond, but when things turn serious, she would do anything for them.
