Typical of a high elf, Eldrin Xyrnan stands an inch below six feet in height and is very slender. He has black hair which he wears loose. His silver eyes stand out against his bronze complexion.

Eldrin tends to wear simple homespun shirts and breeches cut in typical elven fashion, eschewing the usual wizards' robes, as he finds them impractical outside of school or formal occasions. For his foray out of Silverymoon he decided to go with some sturdy travelling clothes. He wears a long, simple leather necklace with a woven pocket holding a green crystal which acts as his arcane focus. He carries a shortsword on his belt, for use as a last resort.

He is generally accompanied by a fruit bat, a raven, or a black cat - all of which he refers to as Fig.
