Lord Obmud

Lord Obmud is an absolutely massive elephant man, nearly 10 feet tall and probably weighing close to half a ton. He has a rather humanoidlooking (if oversized and leathery) torso, and his feet are significantly larger than most humanoids due to his size, but his face is that of an elephant, trunk included (though atrophied) extending only halfway down his chest. His human features are ludicrously muscled, particularly his back.

His most prominent feature are the set of massive wings on his back. Technically speaking, they look like they probably shouldn't let him fly, but somehow, they move fast enough and beat hard enough that this works (or else his race is just weirdly telekinetic.. who knows?)

He carries an absolutely ridiculous oversized axe on his belt that has to weigh at least 50 pounds. The thing has carved runes, menacing spikes, and is made of an all-black metal that's been inlaid with some kind of ivory. There's a rather large slingshot on the other side, but this is practically an afterthought.

It's hard to read his expression unless you are familiar with Elephant body language, but typically he tends to switch between amused or insanely angry. He speaks common with quite an accent due to the odd shape of his mouth. Every word comes out loud: elephants aren't much on whispering.

He wears explorer's clothing: very much custom made and with heavy obvious stiching between the different colored patches. They mostly just cover his torso, with plenty of room around the arms and legs. A careful study would find
that many sewn sets of bullet-resistant clothing had been used to create clothing, providing a degree of protection against incoming attacks, at least around his vital areas.

Personality: A loud, boisterous warrior from a loud boisterous people, Obmud
is fairly confident of his abilities, and mostly cheerful, though he has a warrior's pride that sometimes gets him into trouble. He generally considers a responsibility to protect whatever group he's joined, but bares little consideration to those outside it. His people are naturally curious and enjoy exploring new places and meeting new people.

Physiology notes: In order to fly, his people must burn tremendous energy. His digestive system is fast and can process most human foods, but as a result, poison and disease can hit his race VERY fast. His people tend to be very picky about food (particularly meat), ensuring that it is heavily salted and overcooked. In addition, reinforcements to his back bone, shoulders, ankles and knees for impacts slow him down significantly when walking.

History: Obmud comes from a tribe of flying elephants people (The Yensid) from the land of Pachydem (which is dominated by mutated animals, particularly Pachydems) to the far south. His people are nomadic hunters, traders and mercenaries who tend to wander where the game (or jobs) are plentiful, doing anything from harvest work to construction to mercenary work. Younger adventurous sorts tend to wander off on their own away from the tribe to find a fortune. Many do not return, but those that do tend to carry a great many stories and frequently material wealth the tribe can rely on in hard times. His people routinely feuded with Rhinomen and Hawkmen. For the past century or so, his people have been heading towards more "civilized" lands.
