Corian

Garbed in simple grey colored robes embroidered by magical writing upon the hems, and sometimes wearing a hooded cloak, Corian cuts a mysterious figure when viewed from a distance. A closer look reveals piercing eyes that shine with intelligence and a youthful face framed by long hair reaching his shoulders, neatly combed most of the time but unkempt when he forgets to do so. He clutches a slender yet sturdy looking long staff made from Elmwood that is as tall as he is, the simplicity of the staff's craftsmanship giving it an inherent elegance all its own.

Until recently, Corian was apprenticed to Magister Alrik Dagabor, a retired adventurer and current scholar, researcher and instructor of the arcane arts. During his apprenticeship in master Dagabor's secluded tower somewhere in the Principality of Kosh, he listened wide-eyed to his master's tales of his adventuring days.

Now, after his final exams, he is on a constant quest for knowledge to explore the wide world outside of Alrik Dagabor's tower, as well as improve his abilities . Unlike other mages, he does not want to spend the rest of his life in dusty libraries, and would rather turn theory into practice. What are all those tales of orcs, ogres and other dangerous creatures, ruined cities hiding forgotten secrets, and ancient civilizations worth if he cannot see them with his own eyes or study what they left behind?

Corian may seem a little detached from this world, perhaps due to his limited exposure to people outside the walls of his master’s tower (where books were his best friends), but he is a trustworthy companion with a keen intellect and a wisdom beyond his years. And while he sometimes loses himself in minuscule details, he is always there when he, his magic & his counsel are needed.
