During her time in the Legion, her fame only grew as she repeatedly emerged bloodied but triumphant from doomed command posts. Six years ago, after the Battle of Eight Blades, she was officially reprimanded and removed from the Legion for defying a superior officer, resulting in the officer's death but securing victory in the process. Most people find Catala off-putting on first meeting. It might be her her eyes like a blizzard, cold and gray-blue; It might be her smell, like fresh fallen snow with a tint of coppery blood; Or it could be the clear lack of care she gives to her appearance outside of simple utility. Popular rumor even holds that she has never smiled. "Why is she even invited to high society events?" some ask. The answer is clear: Gateway. Hosts often call upon her to compete with boastful aunts and proud scions with years of tutoring. Guests delight in the schadenfreude as Catala slowly grinds these self-styled masters down.
