Irving Patterson (Lazy S)

A seasoned ranch hand who has spent most his life working with horses, drifting from place to place.  Doesn't talk about his past much, always changes the topic, or keeps it vague saying he has moved around so much, he doesn't have a home.

But he's woken himself and others in the bunkhouse up more'n once screaming from a nightmare. When pressed about it the next morning, Irving says it was just a bad memory, from something that happened in the war. Folks can tell that it's weighing him down, like a steel ball chained to his leg.
