Bjorn Blodfjell (translates from old Asgardi as Bear of the Blood Mountain) is a member of the Skyggeklan (also known as the Shadow Tribe) who live in the deep forests at the foot of the high mountains that surround Nekovka. They are a distrusting people, keeping themselves to themselves, only occasionally trading with trusted visitors from the cities as well as members of neighbouring tribes. They dislike outsiders, knowing that all too often they come with plans to ravage the land, destroying its trees and the ground below them in search of coal, metals and precious gems. Tribal members work hard to keep such folks away. making sure they know they are not welcome.

But recently things have been changed, the balance of nature has been disturbed.  Fell daemons are stalking the forest, killing man and beast alike for sport. And rumours of a murderous priest have reached the village, an evil man planning to destroying the world, they say. Most of the tribe are focused on protecting their homes, but the Elders tasked Bjorn, one of their most skilled hunters, to join with the city folk in finding this priest and bringing balance back to the world.

Bjorn is in his early 20s. He is about 5ft10 and lightly built. Typically he wears fur-lined soft leather boots, a dark green woollen kilt, a pale brown tunic and a dark green cloak with hood. He has brown eyes and pale skin, with light brown hair that he wears shaved at the sides with tribal braids on top, as well as a thick beard. He carries a longbow across his back, and a pair of well-used shortswords at his belt.
