Anastasia was found by the New Navy on a beach with the wreckage of a ship, looking 2 to 3 years old and throwing hundred pound rocks at zomba that were trying to eat her.  The New Navy rescued the small child, although it took a little bit to calm the frightened child down afterwards and considering her apparent strength, it was a couple of Sea Titans that approached her.

The Montana of the New Navy was there on routine patrol.  The night before there had been a powerful Tropical Storm and their sensors had detected a small ship caught in the water. Once the storm was over, the USS Montana had sent out a DDG to check to make sure the small ship was okay, only to discover the wreckage and the sole survivor apparently being a 3 year child with supernatural strength.

She was too young to give them any useful information when they gently questioned her about her parents.  The only thing you remembers about the ship was that it broke apart and she grabbed on to a piece of wood until she got to shore.  The only thing the found on her was a badly damaged bracelet with the word "An-'st--i-" Which was where they got her name Anastasia, although there could be several other things the partially damage word could be, especially foreign words.

She was adopted by Erik and Mandy Edwards, a Sea Titan couple who took a break from the New Navy to raise Anastasia.  Who better to raise a supernaturally strong baby, and raised as a Sea Titan with full citizenship in the USS.  They taught her martial arts as a way for her to learn to control her supernatural strength and various other physical activities as she grew up.

She excelled at any physical activity she tried and had the disposition for fighting.  She had an affinity for magic as well, catching on to the basics quickly.  Although she didn't have an affinity for lots of studying, preferring being active and blowing things up. Her martial arts style was very direct and brutal in execution, if you looked back into history it is very like Krav Maga and Jeet Kune Do.

She followed in the steps of her adoptive parents and joined the New Navy, because of her affinity for magic, but lack of desire to study deeply, she was guided into the Combat Mage training.  She finished her MOS and has served with distinction, leading to her being assigned to a Special Forces unit.  She takes her career in the New Navy serious, a way to repay her life debt to the New Navy and maybe a way to discover her true heritage.

Notes:
Ana participated in a battle off of Easter Island when they won a battle against the Naut'Yll by having more ammo.  She had been part of the squad and they had had to bunker down and just outlasted the Naut'Yll slaver squad as they protected the island.  She had all but drained herself of her reserves that day, and the rest of the squad was almost out of ammo, but the Naut'Yll had run out and taken considerable losses before the retreated.

She has recently learned she is an Amazon from South America, a race created by Atlanteans after meeting an Amazon named Ana of Clan Skellian
