The Looks: Alex looks like what he is, which is a spacer. Born to one of the families who traded indentured service beyond orbit for gene-line editing back in '42. As a result he's whipcord-lean, fastidiously well-groomed at (almost) all times and almost unnaturally graceful in a variable-gravity environment. Tall for a spacer at just under six feet in height he's got dark reddish hair and pale skin with features that can charitably be described as 'angular' and not a little forbidding until he loosens up and smiles.

Personality: Alex, to the casual observer is a calm and imposing presence who moves around the ship (any ship) as though he was born to do so (which in fact, he was) and he presents a face to the passengers and most of the crew of someone who takes their job extremely seriously. He does, in fact take his job quite seriously but that's because he's responsible for cybersecurity aboard the liner and since one line of malicious code could result in everyone aboard undergoing twenty-four hours WOO (WithOutOxygen) and he's a Spacer, it's an important one.

Off-duty he's rather more relaxed, albeit not without a high regard for safety procedures and basic maintenance (because again: Spacer) and more inclined to take an interest in people around him. As a result of his upbringing and security training he tends to serve as a moderating rod in communal settings, automatically looking to quell dissent and encourage group bonding.

On the whole he tends to be community-first, very much like most born Spacers.
