When most people think of the phrase innkeeper's daughter, they likely envisage a waif-like creature, innocent and trusting and, depending on how lascivious the beholder is, an obvious target for seduction.

Marcella is few of these things. While slim and somewhat shapely, she doesn't lack for muscle, having spent much of her youth mucking in with her father to move loads around La Taverne D'Alais, and such experience has left her experienced and suspicious, and with a tongue sharp enough to render anyone foolish enough to try a pick-up line reddening and embarassed.

Given her accent, dress and the general way she carried herself, Marcella has the air of a local about her. Tough, urbane, and collected, her dress nicely walks the fine line between practical and pretty, being tough and hard wearing enough to survive life in a tavern while making it clear she is a cut above the rest of the staff she employs.
