Judas is a short, unassuming fellow, always clean-shaven and well-groomed, with not a hair out of place on his head, and is also invariably well-dressed - punctilious about his appearance to the point of vanity. He is quick to smile and to enjoy the company of others, and enjoys a drink and a good conversation. He works hard, but is always ready to put business aside and simply share a casual evening with colleagues and work-contacts.

But those within House Maccabee know that Judas is not what he seems. Trained in espionage, Judas was then installed in a relatively minor post that suited his other skills and interests. As the House's treasurer, he is often seen as nothing more than a servile manager, a mere number-crunching administrator with little imagination, and certainly not the wit for politics or intrigue - a reputation Judas himself has spent years carefully cultivating.

Seldom seen as anything but a mid-level lackey whose ancillary role grants him no real influence within House Maccabee, Judas is a highly-visible spy whose cloak is his ostensible harmlessness, whose dagger is his disarming charm. He extracts information from his counterparts in other Houses by subtle means, often without his targets even being aware of the secrets they have carelessly disclosed.

Fiercely loyal, Judas is ever striving to create a mosaic of compromising information from the scraps he gathers here and there, looking for any small thing, any little chink in the armour, that can be turned to the financial or political advantage of House Maccabee. For power flows from knowledge, and there is no knowledge that is not power.
