Haram Delgado

As both the President of the Rice Growers Cooperative (RGC) and Chairman of the Grange, Haram Delgado is one of the most influential and powerful men on Caladan. Nearly 89 percent of all pundi rice grown on the planet is done so under the auspices of the RGC. The Cooperative plays many important roles from financing the purchase of supplies and services to the distribution and sale of the rice their member farmers grow. They also ensure price stability of the rice by removing incentives for price and labor competition, as well as protect their members from bankruptcy in the face of crop failure.

The Grange is an association of farmers of all types of agricultural products that sponsors social activities, provides community service and volunteer opportunities, and lobbies the political powers on behalf of the leading agriculturalists.
